I've heard that M-Pro7 LPX contains a "neurotoxin". Is that true?
M-Pro7 Gun Oil LPX contains a small amount (less than 3%) of Tritolyl Phosphate, also known as TCP. TCP is used in jet fuel, industrial oils, and according to the Center for Disease Control, TCP is considered a neurotoxin only if a person (over a short period of time) cooks with, ingests, bathes in or inhales a relatively large quantity of TCP. For example, according to their statistics, you would have to drink or absorb through your skin almost 2 gallons in 24 hours of M-Pro7 Gun Oil LPX for it to be considered a “neurotoxin”. When used in jet fuel and industrial oils, the concern is rapid evaporation of TCP and inhalation by workers. M-Pro7 Gun Oil LPX has a very low evaporation rate so does not pose an inhalation danger.
The M-Pro7 Gun Oil LPX MSDS shows a Health Risk of 0 because it is very safe when used as directed.
